About Me
I’m Brooke, I have lived in Michigan my whole life. I moved to Indian River with my husband in 2016. We have three daughters, two dogs, one cat, and three fish. I’ve always found so much joy in watching children play and grow. I studied Early Childhood Development as well as Children and Family Dynamics in college.
Life Skills
I’ve been both a working parent and stay at home parent. The biggest issue we faced as working parents was finding trustworthy, reliable childcare. While in college studying Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy, my husband was working as an EMT and attending Paramedic school. Our youngest was born in the midst of our last semesters of college and I was bringing my newborn with me to my classes. Between our clinicals at the hospital and studying for tests, we were worrying about who would or could watch our kids. After almost three years of stressing over childcare for our three girls, cutting my shifts, or only working weekends, I decided it was time to just stay home. Now that my children are all in school I want nothing more that not help provide the childcare we so desperately needed as working parents.
Our Kids
I have three children; Morgyn is 8, Eryn is 7, and Lauryn is 4. Morgyn is our mother hen. She always wants to be helpful, loves babies, dolls, and crafting. Eryn is our wild one, she constantly keeps us guessing what she’ll do next and keeps a smile on our faces. Lauryn is our baby, she is loud, sassy, and incredibly sweet at the same time.
Childcare Experience
I’ve been babysitting for over 10 years. Starting with watching my younger sister, then my niece and nephews, and then for parents in town. I volunteered in a church nursery and the local Head Start preschool as a high schooler. I studied Early Childhood Development and Children and Family Dynamics in college. I also continued to watch children for friends, family, and neighbors after my own children were born. I am a licensed child care provider with the state of Michigan as of December 2023. My husband and I are also both CPR, BBP, and First Aid certified with real life experience.
